(Week 06 – 2009) The product poses a chemical risk because of the presence of dimethylfumarate in the shoes and in the sachets contained in the packaging. Dimethylfumarate is a substance which has to be considered harmful, irritating and sensitizing on contact with the skin, and its use as a biocide is not authorized. Read more
Germany	Textiles: Felt-tip pens - 24 Fasermaler. This product contains benzene. (Week 05 – 2009) The product poses a chemical risk because the benzene content in the ink of the individual fibre-tips exceeds the maximum limit of 5 mg/kg for toys The levels measured are from 5.29 to 28.70 mg/kg. Spain	Textiles: Children's shoes. This product contains dimethylfumarate. (Week 04 – 2009) The product poses a chemical risk because of the presence of volatile organic compounds in the shoes and in the sachets contained in the packaging. In both instances, mass spectrometry revealed the presence of dimethylfumarate, a substance used as a biocidal agent. Read more
Finland	Furniture: Recliner chair. This product contains dimethylfumarate. (Week 03 – 2009) The products pose a chemical risk and can cause different types of allergies, skin symptoms of various degrees and peculiar severe dermatitis due to the presence of dimethylfumarate (DMF) which is used as an anti-mould agent. Sweden	Personal protective equipment: Helmet for equestrian activities. This product contains dimethylfumarate. (Week 03 – 2009) The products pose a chemical risk and can cause skin irritation due to the presence of dimethylfumarate. Read more
France	Cosmetics: Klorane soothing eye make-up remover with cornflower. This product contains DMAPA. (Week 02 – 2009) The product poses a chemical risk because of contact eczema due to 3-dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA), which is one of the impurities formed in the synthesis of cocamidopropyl betainamide MEA chloride, found in the composition of the product. Spain	Chemical products: Bicycle tyre repair kit - rubber solution. This product contains benzene. (Week 01 – 2009) The product poses a chemical risk because the rubber solution contains 28% by weight of benzene. Read more

Toluene may not be placed on the market or used as a substance or constituent of preparations in a concentration equal to or higher than 0.1% by mass in adhesives intended for sale to the general public.
