PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA ON INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS – IMPLEMENTATION & AUDITING (COURSE CODE:IMS/2)
Course Introduction
To survive and compete in the global market, a lot of companies manage their performance of key functions according to a number of international management systems and standards. Integrated Management Systems (IMS) is a total management concept integrating Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety management standards. Carrying out an integrated system would minimize any disruption that may occur while handling all the quality, environment, social accountability, and occupational health & safety issues together.
To cater for suppliers’ raising demand for compliance to an ethnical workplace, a new module – M2b: Social Systems has been added in this intake.
Course Outline
This course comprises the 5 modules listed below, making up a total of 15 contact days.
- Module 1: Implementation of Integrated Management Systems(Based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, & OHSAS 18001) – 15, 29 Mar & 19, 26 Apr
- *Module 2a: IRCA Certified Quality Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course (Based on ISO 9001) – 14-18 Apr
- *Module 2b: IRCA Certified Social Systems Lead Auditor Training Course (Based on SA 8000, ETI and Relevant Code of Conduct) – 21-25 Apr
- Module 3: IRCA Certified Environmental Management Systems Auditor Conversion Training Course (Based on ISO 14001) – 3-5 June
- Module 4: IRCA Certified Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems Auditor Conversion Training Course (Based on OHSAS 18001) – 28-30 July
*Passing the examination of either M2a or M2b is a pre-requisite for obtaining IRCA training certificates of M2a/M2b, M3, & M4. Both M3 & M4 are conversion training courses.
Assessments & Awards
Participants can choice to attend the individual modules or the full course. Participants who attend individual modules will receive individual module certificates. Participants who attend the full course (Module 2a and 2b are selective modules of which participants can choice either one) and pass the individual modular examinations will be awarded the Professional Diploma on Integrated Management Systems jointly issued by SGS & HKPC. SGS will assist those who successfully complete M2, M3, & M4 and pass the respective IRCA Modular examinations to apply for IRCA recognized training certificates.
Fee
Full course (4 modules) HK$19,000* / 19,800 (*enroll before 15 Feb 2008 or two enrollments at a time) Participants can pay in two installments: 1st installment HK$10,000 and 2nd installment HK$9,800.
