IRCA CERTIFIED ISO 9001:2008 QMS AUDITOR CONVERSION COURSE

This course aims to equip existing auditors of other management systems standards (eg. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000, Social System etc.) with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out audits of management systems against ISO 9001:2008.  The focus of this course is on evaluating the effectiveness of a QMS through interpretation of the current version of ISO 9001:2008 in the context of an organization's management arrangements.

Course Outline

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Describe the purpose of a quality management system and explain the eight principles of quality management
• Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of the ISO 9000 family of Standards
• Interpret the requirements of ISO 9001 in the context of an audit
• Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 19011
• Report on the audit in a manner that adds value to the organization

Who Should Attend  

Auditors with competence in another process based management system (i.e. EMS, OH&S, ISMS, FSMS etc) who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge to audit against ISO 9001. (Course requirement for certification as an auditor on the QMS program)
