  • Overview of Six Sigma and understanding the cost of poor quality  
  • Formation of Six Sigma Project Team and project the team charter.
  • Translating Voice of Customer needs into specific requirement.
  • Understanding how to collect data including SIPOC Diagram, Process Mapping, Basic Statistics, Data Collection Plans, and Process Capability
  • Understanding how to find out Root Causes by using different type of root causes analysis tools.
  • Understanding Breakthrough Improvements including Creativity thinking, Brainstorming, Multi-voting, Quality Function Deployment, FMEA, and Implementation Planning
  • Understanding how to sustain the result including process control plan (SPC), Poka Yoke and Project Storyboard.
  • Essential Statistics for Six Sigma including Descriptive & Inferential Statistics, Probability Distributions, Central Limit Theorem, Non-parametric Test.
  • Applications of Computer Software (Minitab) in Six Sigma advanced tools :
    • Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
    • Process Capability – Normal & Non-Normal Distribution
    • Correlation & Regression
    • Hypothesis Testing & ANOVA
  • Application of Design of Experiment (DOE) in Six Sigma Project:
    • Full Factorial; Fractional Factorial; Taguchi Method; Response Surface
  • Six Sigma soft tools such as Facilitation Skill, Team Building, Leadership, Manage Change
  • Lean Sigma; DFSS; TRIZ
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Project Case Study
  • Students will be given guideline and coaching to complete an individual Six Sigma project.

  • The facilitator has over 20 years local and regional experience in process improvement and quality management with extensive manufacturing and service industries background and has led many waves of Six Sigma Green/Black courses and is also the examiner of ISSC.
  • He served the clients include Banking, Finance, Servicing, Manufacturing & Logistic Industry etc.

Certificate
Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) will be issued to those who passed the individual project and written examination administered by SGS Hong Kong Ltd.
