Course Introduction
With over 100,000 ISO 14001 certificates issued around the world, about 10% is from China (the second largest number of certificates issued by country). It is important for you to get involved and be qualified. This five-day comprehensive training course enables delegates to acquire a broad understanding on ISO 14001:2004, environmental aspects, evaluation process, the HK environmental regulations, the know-how to establish, implement and maintain an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on requirements of ISO 14001:2004, and the skills of EMS audits. This course is certified by Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and recognized by International Registration of Certificated Auditors (IRCA). Delegates who successfully complete this course will fulfill the training requirements for third-party auditor registrations with IEMA and IRCA.
Course Objective
It is designed for delegates who are currently working as auditors in the management system on quality or occupational health and safety, and wish to develop the specific auditing skills, methodologies, and best practice in the auditing of Environmental Management System.
Course Outline:
- Introduction to EMS;
- Interpretation of ISO 14001:2004 Requirements;
- Identification and evaluation of environmental aspects;
- Audit planning, preparation, performance, review, report, and follow-up;
- Selection criteria, responsibilities and auditing skills of auditors;
- Establishment of environmental policies, objectives and programs; and
- Introduction to local of environmental legislation.
Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the course and pass the examination will be issued a certificate which designated fulfillment of the training requirements for the IEMA and IRCA EMS auditor registration.
