Beat is presently the Executive Vice President of Life Science Services, and has been since 2007. Prior to this, he worked for Lonza AG where he filled various positions as Vice President & Head of the Business Unit “Organic Fine Chemical Intermediates”,  Senior Vice President & General Manager of the Division “Organic Fine Chemicals” as well as member of the Executive Management Committee of Lonza Group, Senior Vice President and Head of the Division “Organic Fine & Performance Chemicals”.  Beat spent 24 years with Lonza starting out for them as Assistant to the head of the segment “Agrochemicals”. In 1983, Beat obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Fribourg where he also graduated with an MBA in Political Economy in 1978.

Friedrich is the Executive Vice President of Industrial Services, a position he has held since 2003. Friedrich joined SGS in 2002 as Chief Operating Officer for Central Europe. He spent some time with TÜV Süddeutschland Services as a General Manager prior to this and from 1996 to his 2002 was a Senior Project Manager for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Friedrich acted as a consultant between 1993 and 1996 for various organisations and received his first experience as a technician working for the Bosch group before this. He holds an Economics degree.

Fred is currently the Executive Vice President for Automotive and Governments & Institutions Services, a double position he has held since 2006. It was in 2003 that he became Executive Vice President for Automotive Services, having been prior to this, head of Operation and Business Development in the Trade Assurances Division from 1998. In 1995 he worked for Unilabs S.A. as General Manager of its international division based in London and then Geneva. He joined SGS S.A. in 1987 as Vice President of the Economic Affairs Division. Between 1980 and 1987, Fred held several positions at the World Economic Forum.

Michael is currently the Executive Vice president for Minerals Services, and has been since 2007. Prior to this he was first Vice President for Non-Ferrous and then Managing Director for Minerals Services North America. It was in 2002 he started working for SGS as Special Project Manager for the Minerals Services business team. He worked for Alfred H. Knight before joining SGS, where he was Executive Vice president for Alfred H. Knight North America. Between1992 and 1993 he was a Technical Director at the same company having started for them as a research chemist. Michael received his degree in Chemistry in 1983.

Jeffrey is currently the Executive Vice President for Agricultural Services. From March 1999 to 2007 he was Senior Vice President of Global Sales (OGC Switzerland) and prior to this, he held several positions, from 1987 on, as Executive Manager of SGS Redwood offices (UK) Limited, Assistant Vice President of Redwood (Switzerland), Vice president of Redwood (Switzerland) and Senior Vice President, (OGC Switzerland). In 1985 he was appointed regional manager for SGS control services in the US.  Starting at SGS in 1969, Jeffrey had various management positions for his first 5 years with the company. He completed vocational training in chemistry, physics and laboratory studies in 1969 followed by being awarded with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and Biology (BA) in 1987 to then pursue further specialised petroleum industry training in 1988.

Malcolm Reid is currently the Executive Vice President for Systems & Services Certification, and has been since 2007. From 2005 to 2007, he was Managing Director of SGS Australia Pty Ltd, and prior to this he held several positions as Managing Director for the Philippines and Guam in 1997 followed by his appointment in 2000 as Managing Director for Thailand with responsibility for Cambodia and Bangladesh. In 1994, Malcolm was appointed Operations Director in Hong Kong, then Regional Manager for Eastern China based in Shanghai. After an initial period in the Middle East, Switzerland and Japan, he took over the position of  General Manager for Vietnam in 1992. Malcolm graduated with a B.SC Chemistry (Hons) from the University of Glasgow in 1985.

Alim has been Executive Vice President for Oil, Gas & Chemicals as well as Environmental services since 2007. Prior to this he was working in Moscow for SGS Vostok, where he firstly held the position of Managing Director for Russia and then Chief Operating Officer for Eastern Europe and the Middle East from 2004. Before that and in the same year, he was given the duty of Chief Operating Officer of SGS North America. Previously he worked for SGS Canada as Managing Director and Nafta Business Development Manager. Between the years 2001 to 2004 he held several positions for the company including Managing Director of SGS Azerbaijan & the Caspian region, Managing Director of SGS Kazakhstan and General Manager of that same office. In 1999 he went to Georgia where he took on the role of General Manager for the Georgian SGS office, before which he was a Division Manager for Redwood Azerbaijan from 1995. He started with SGS in January of 1993 as a Senior Inspector for Redwood, Azerbaijan. In 1987 Alim received a degree in Engineering, with a focus on Electro-Physics and in March of 1993 he went on to get his Doctorate PhD in Chemistry.

Frankie is presently the Executive Vice President for Consumer Testing Services, based in Geneva. He took over this responsibility in 2004 before which he was the Managing Director of SGS US Consumer Testing Services. Between 1996 and 2000, Frankie worked for SGS in China as CTS Operations Manager and Division Manager for SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services. He joined SGS in 1994 as a management trainee. Before joining the group, he worked briefly with Sodeco SA as a Quality Assurance Engineer. He holds a diploma in Engineering from the Engineering School of Geneva and a BA in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Essex, England.
